The House is expected to appoint its conferees this week on the bankruptcy legislation, CongressDaily reported. This step will allow House and Senate staff to work during the August recess to resolve technical and drafting discrepancies between S. 420 and H.R. 333.
Six Republicans and four Democrats from the House Judiciary Committee, along with a number of representatives from other committees, are expected to join the 13 already-named Senate conferees.
