In an effort to strike a deal on the abortion-related language in the bankruptcy legislation, aides to House and Senate bankruptcy conferees resumed negotiations this week. The conferees met formally on the matter on May 22 – just before the Memorial Day recess – but are not expected to meet again in any official capacity until next week at the earliest, sources said.
