J. Thomas Black was first licensed as a Texas attorney by the Supreme Court of the State of Texas on May 14, 1982. He therefore celebrates 20 successful years in law practice on May 14, 2002.
Any observations on twenty years of law practice, Mr. Black?
Yes, I have a few. They are as follows:
1. Things are not always as they seem.
2. You never can tell, the depth of the well, by the length of the handle on the pump.
3. The Golden Rule is more alive than ever: Them that have the Gold, Make the Rules.
4. If you work hard, you get lucky.
5. When confronted by two choices, the usual correct one is the one that is most difficult to accomplish.
