HURRICANE IKE SHUTS US DOWN UNTIL WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 17

Thankfully we suffered no major damage from Hurricane Ike here at the law office, but because of power and phone interruptions, and some employees having evacuated, we will re-open for usual operations on Wednesday, Sept. 17. All appointments on that day should keep their appointments, or if they can’t, please call 713-772-8037 or email us at tom@jthomasblack.com.

We will be working remotely (offsite), so if you have questions about hearings or meetings, please email us. The Bankruptcy Court has cancelled all hearings for Monday Sept. 15, and the courthouse is closed for that day. It appears that hearings are still scheduled for Tuesday.If you have a hearing on Tuesday, you can email us for any updates, or you can check in periodically at http://www.txs.uscourts.gov , there may be additional announcements posted on the court’s website.
