Dear Readers:
I am a consumer bankruptcy lawyer. However, I would be pleased and happy if you, if you are having debt trouble, could avoid filing bankruptcy.
You should consider all other reasonable alternatives to filing bankrupcy, if you can. Filing bankruptcy should be a “last resort.” It certainly would be for me, if I were having trouble with debt.
However, one option for you, Credit Counseling, is in crisis, according to a report just released by the Consumer Federation of America (CFA) and the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC), leading pro-consumer groups.
Please, do what is best for you. I will give you honest advice, based on your personal situation and circumstances.
