Like many if not most of American’s bankruptcy professional’s, including attorneys, judges, and trustees, the pending “Bankruptcy Reform Bill,” no matter what it is currently being called, is lop-sided against the American consumer.
An op-ed in Sunday’s Salt Lake Tribune by Prof. Richard Aaron (University of Utah) criticizes the House bill as simplistic and one-sided. Utah has among the highest consumer bankruptcy filing rates in the country. Utah Rep. Chris Cannon, a Judiciary Committee member, is one of the lead sponsors of the bill.
