The proposed new bankruptcy law is incredibly complex, and adds layers of extra “hoops” for debtors to jump through, before they can file bankruptcy, or to qualify for Chapter 7. To see the new law, go to: http://www.house.gov/rules/houston-texas-bankruptcy.html.
It will be much more costly, difficult, if not impossible for many consumers to file bankruptcy, if this law passes and is signed into law by the President.
