ANTI-CONSUMER ‘SHADOW’ BANKRUPTCY LAW FADING FAST

It appears the Senate will debate the anti-consumer bankruptcy ‘reform’ possibly today Thursday, October 19th. The Continuing Resolution debate continues in congress, no resolution has be agreed upon. And it is believed that congress will in session until next Thursday. It is rumored that the cloture motion will be voted on today. And the vote on the Continuing Resolution is expected next Tuesday.
Congress currently is in a bitter fight over passage of the pending spending bills and tension is high. Members are blaming each other for not agreeing to the Continuing Resolution. The chances for bankruptcy reform to pass are becoming dimmer. Some creditors are admitting defeat, but say it will be back next year in the 107th congress. Hopefully we will have a new congress then, that will do what’s right for the American people, instead of the consumer credit industry.
